After the Rip
Keep it in the vault
The default. Your card stays in a secure, insured third-party vault, held for you, with no storage fee.
Once a card is revealed it is held for you. The physical slab is still in the vault — a secure, insured third-party vault — and it never moved, but it is now recorded against your account, and nobody else can be sold it.
You have three options, and one of them is to do nothing.
Doing nothing is a real option
If you take no action, the card stays in the vault, held for you. There is no storage fee, no deadline by which you must decide, and no forfeiture. It appears in your Collection and on your Collectors Wall with its market value tracked over time.
This is the default, and for most cards it is the sensible one: it costs nothing, and it keeps both of the other options open.
The three options
| Option | What happens | Reversible? |
|---|---|---|
| Keep it vaulted | Nothing moves. The card stays in the vault, held for you. | Yes — you can sell or ship later |
| Sell it back | We buy it back for store credit at the rate shown. | No |
| Ship it | Our fulfilment partner posts the physical slab to you. | No — once it leaves the vault it is yours to hold |
Values move
The market value shown against a vaulted card is aggregated from third-party sources and updates over time. It can fall as well as rise, and a sell-back offer tracks the current value rather than the value at the moment you pulled it.
Vaulting a card is not an investment product and we make no promise about what it will be worth later.
