How Rips Work
Watching a live rip
How a live stream runs, what the rip queue is, and how your pack gets opened on camera.
Packs are opened on camera by a streamer, in the order they were bought. You can watch on the stream's own page or on YouTube.
Where to watch
- Global — the always-on rip. Packs bought here are opened continuously rather than on a scheduled broadcast.
- A streamer's live page — each streamer has their own page showing their rip, a YouTube embed of their commentary, chat, and a buy button.
- The schedule — what is coming up and when.
What happens during a rip
- You buy. Your balance is debited and your pack joins the queue within seconds.
- Your pack comes up. The streamer sees your username and starts the opening animation — "ripping for your name".
- The card appears face-down, showing the back of the physical slab.
- The streamer flips it. The front is revealed along with the card name, set, grade and market value. Multi-card packs are flipped one at a time.
- It's recorded to your account. Each card is held for you as it is revealed, and it appears in your Collection.
What you'll see on the page
The hits board shows the highest-value cards sitting in the pool for that stream. It is there so you can see the chase cards that are genuinely available before you decide to buy.
The running tally shows how many packs have been opened, how many are left, and the total value revealed so far.
Chat is public and moderated.
Streams and stock are finite
A stream has a fixed pool of packs assigned to it. When they are gone, they are gone — the buy button stops working rather than generating more. If a stream ends before your pack is opened, it stays in your account and is opened on the next one.
